Ebrahim Karami received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering (electronics) from Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1996 and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering (bioelectric) and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering (communications) from the University of Tehran, in 1999 and 2005, respectively. He also received a second Ph.D. degree in computer engineering (image processing) from the Memorial University of Canada in 2019.
Between 2006 and 2012, he was with the Center for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland; Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada; and the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK, Canada. He is currently with Memorial University, St John’s, NL, Canada. His current research interests include medical imaging, computer vision, and sensor networks. Dr. Karami is an associate editor of IET Electronics Letters.
