Hina Tabbassum is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, Lassonde School of Engineering, York University, Canada. Prior to that, she was a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Manitoba, Canada.
She received her PhD degree from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). She is a Senior member of IEEE and registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada. She was recognized as an Exemplary Reviewer (Top 2% of all reviewers) by IEEE Transactions on Communications in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019. Currently, she is serving as an Associate Editor in IEEE Communications Letters and IEEE Open Journal of Communications Society.
Her current research interests includes Stochastic geometry modeling and optimization of wireless networks, intelligent reflecting surfaces, vehicular communication, UAV communication, NOMA, millimeter and terahertz communication networks, software-defined networking, and virtualized resource allocation in wireless networks.
